As a trust, we are committed to using evidence-based practice to drive improvement, and we recognise that classroom practitioners play a crucial role in this development. We are excited to share the findings from a research project led by EYFS leaders at Tranmoor Primary and Southfield Primary. These colleagues have been actively involved in an Innovation Research Group, led by Mary Prest, which has been exploring the role of schematic play in supporting number acquisition in the early years.
The outcomes of this project are now being developed into a practical toolkit with the aim of national rollout—bringing evidence-informed strategies directly into early years settings across the country. Please click on the links below to view our findings:
